Cabernet Sauvignon, Leaky Lake Vineyard'00 |
| Planted in 1974, Leaky Lake Vineyard earned its name from the shale bed lake on the property. It's located at the top of Whitehall lane nestled in the Mayacamas Mountains, Napa Valley. These hillside old vines have produced many exceptional wines over the years. This is the second vintage of our effort to re-establish the vineyard, which yielded three barrels from 3 acres. Vinum Cellars is a small California Winery well known for producing wines of the highest quality. The grapes are selected from premium coastal and cool climate growing areas within California. "Two labels stood out from the pack when the bags came off in our blind tasting, including the PETS bottling from Vinum. "Pets" is an old nickname of Petite Sirah, and the bold black- and red-lettered label states that a portion of the profits from the sale of this wine will be donated to a San Francisco SPCA animal-shelter fund."
