"Supersweet, offering flavors of honey, apricots, tangerines and vanilla. Very nice and crisp." - S.H.

"Enormously aromatic and very sweet, this rich, thick dessert wine has good acidity, and it needs it to balance out the honey, apricot pure, lemon custard, vanilla and honeysuckle flavors. A refreshing and delicious wine." - S.H.

"A wonderful dessert wine, spicy, rich and lush, with fig and grapefruit flavors at the fore. Layers of floral qualities are interspersed with herb, citrus, beach plum and honey notes. Sweet but not cloying thanks to zingy acidity."

VINUM CELLARS
2007 PETS, Petite Sirah

"Two labels stood out from the pack when the bags came off in our blind tasting, including the PETS bottling from Vinum. "Pets" is an old nickname of Petite Sirah, and the bold black- and red-lettered label states that a portion of the profits from the sale of this wine will be donated to a San Francisco SPCA animal-shelter fund."
