Rosé

2006 Rosé Its Okay! Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
San Francisco Chronicle Best of Class Wine Competition
, January 2008
GOLD MEDAL

Connoisseurs’ Guide to California Wine
, July 2007
86 Points
"100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark pink color. Fresh and fruity in scent with subtle suggestions of cherries and no sign of candy, this well-balanced, medium-bodied dry rose follows suit on the palate with frontal fruit flavors. It picks up a slight bit of tannic coarseness at the finish and is better saved for service with food rather than simple quaffing."

"Pale and reflective in its rich ruby-pink appearance, this medium-bodied wine offered pronounced berry aromas with dried blackberry refreshing, crisp flavors of dark cherry and spice. The finish was pleasantly velvety, lingering with mild cherry flavors."

Best Buy! 85 Points
"[Its] quite a nice, refreshing sipper. Drinks totally dry and crisp in acids, with rosehip tea and black cherry flavors that finish long and spicy."

VINUM CELLARS
2007 PETS, Petite Sirah

"Two labels stood out from the pack when the bags came off in our blind tasting, including the PETS bottling from Vinum. "Pets" is an old nickname of Petite Sirah, and the bold black- and red-lettered label states that a portion of the profits from the sale of this wine will be donated to a San Francisco SPCA animal-shelter fund."
