SLOW LANE CAB
2004 Slow Lane Cab, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
AFFAIRS OF THE VINE 2007 Cabernet Shootout
Tied for FIRST PLACE at 97 POINTS!
The color of this well-balanced Cabernet Sauvignon is medium to dark ruby with lovely ripe blackberry and cassis flavors. There are big tannins on the finish but this wine will age beautifully.
Roasted coffee beans dominate the nose. Dense blackberry cassis in the mouth with huge tannins! Powerful and beautifully structured with nice oak integration and a lasting finish...wow!

"Vinum Cellars is a side project for Richard Bruno, winemaker for Don Sebastiani & Sons, and his collegiate buddy Chris Condos, a consulting enologist for Kathryn Kennedy Winery. Their main passion is Chenin Blanc, but this is a solid Cab, with tart, fresh black-cherry flavors and strong oak and vanilla notes. The tannins are very strong, so give it some air and/or cellar time."

VINUM CELLARS
2007 PETS, Petite Sirah
"Two labels stood out from the pack when the bags came off in our blind tasting, including the PETS bottling from Vinum. "Pets" is an old nickname of Petite Sirah, and the bold black- and red-lettered label states that a portion of the profits from the sale of this wine will be donated to a San Francisco SPCA animal-shelter fund."
