This Cabernet Sauvignon is from a dry farmed, low yielding, hillside vineyard riddled with granite deposits. Each year this vineyard produces small-berried clusters of fully mature grapes from which we make wines of maximum concentration while preserving varietal distinction.
2012 Napa Cab
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, October, 2016
"The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Hoffman Vineyard exhibits loads of blueberry, blackberry, licorice and unsmoked cigar tobacco. It has a dense purple color, but has surprisingly more blueberry and blackberry on the palate. The wine, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, was aged 28 months in 50% new French oak and 50% two-year-old French oak. This is a sleeper selection, coming from the eastern side of Napa near Atlas Peak. At $42.00, this is an outstanding value for a top Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa. Drink now-2030." - Robert Parker
2006 Napa Cab
Wine & Spirits, December, 2009
"Black, rounded and supple in its alcohol, this drops off into tannin before finishing to sweet black currant flavor. Give it a year for the tannins to mellow, then serve with rump roast." - M.K.
2006 Napa Cab
Wine Enthusiast Magazine, October 1, 2009
"Robust and jammy, this Cab tastes like a cherry-chocolate truffle dessert, it’s that sweet, although it’s probably technically dry. If this soft, candied style appeals to you, you’ll love it." - S.H.
